8 Days Tanzania Migration Safari

Witness one of nature’s greatest spectacles — the Great Migration — on this unforgettable Tanzanian adventure. Over 8 days, journey through Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater, Ndutu, and the world-famous Serengeti, where wildebeest and zebra move in breathtaking numbers across the plains. Along the way, encounter elephants, lions, buffalo, cheetahs, and more, while staying in carefully selected safari camps that place you right at the heart of the action. This safari blends thrilling wildlife moments with authentic African landscapes, making it the ultimate migration experience.
Day 1 : Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport – Arusha City: 55kms/1hour
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by one of our experienced driver guides who will drive you to Arusha Town and to your reserved hotel.
Overnight at Gran Melia Hotel on Bed and Breakfast Basis.
Day 2 : Arusha City – Tarangire National Park: 120kms/2hours
After a tasty breakfast, our driver guide will pick you at your hotel together with your lunch and drive you to Tarangire for game viewing. The park is well known for large number of elephants that congregate here, as do many wildebeest and zebras. There are also significant population of impala, giraffes, eland and buffalo. Thompson’s, gazelle, Coke’s hartebeest, bohor reedbuck and both greater and lesser kudu are found here. Lion are common throughout Tarangire, as are leopard. Later during the day, you will proceed to your reserved accommodation inside the national park for dinner and overnight.
Dinner and Overnight at Serian Tarangire Camp on Full Board Basis
Day 3 : Tarangire – Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, our driver guide will pick you and proceed with game viewing in Ngorongoro Crater. Your driver guide will help you spot some of the many species at the crater floor teaching you about their fascinating habits and habitats. Also, this is perhaps the best place to see the big five if you are lucky. Later during the day, you will start heading to your reserved accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Dinner and Overnight at Naserian Safari Camp on Full Board Basis
Day 4 : Ndutu Ngorongoro (Southern part of Serengeti)
Following your breakfast at your hotel, you will start heading to Ndutu Areas inside Ngorongoro conservation Area. Spend your day spotting all varieties of wildlife ‘on the move’ with your expert driver-guide. Each day is different here, but we focus of course on the Great Migration, that unique natural wonder which involves a cast of breathtaking numbers, literally hundreds of thousands of animals as they make their annual journey across the plains.
Zebra and wildebeest are the most numerous of the migrating animals here, grazing on the short-grass plains of the Southern Serengeti and the northern part of the Ngorongoro Conservation area. But your driver-guide will also be on the lookout for other wildlife, too, using his expertise and ‘eagle-eyes’ to try to find elephant, lions, buffalo, leopard and cheetah – just some of the many, many species you will encounter in this stunning place. Drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Dinner and Overnight at: Nyikani Migration Camp on Full Board Basis
Day 5 : Full Day in Ndutu Area
Following your breakfast, you will have another full day in the migration area. This is the special area for the migratory animals to give birth, Zebra and wildebeest are the most numerous of the migrating animals here, grazing on the short-grass plains of the Southern Serengeti and the northern part of the Ngorongoro Conservation area. But your driver-guide will also be on the lookout for other wildlife, too, using his expertise and ‘eagle-eyes’ to try to find elephant, lions, buffalo, leopard and cheetah – just some of the many, many species you will encounter in this stunning place.
Dinner and Overnight at: Nyikani Migration Camp on Full Board Basis
Day 6 : Ndutu – Central Serengeti National Park: 205km/4:50hours
The exciting sounds of Africa will rose from your sleep and start heading to Serengeti. Serengeti offers an exotic game-viewing experience in the whole of Africa giving you up-close look of the animals you’ve only seen in National Geographic: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and Grant’s gazelle. Later during the day, you will proceed to your reserved accommodation inside the national park.
Dinner and Overnight at Enkirari Wilderness Camp on Full Board Basis
Day 7 : Full day Central Serengeti
After breakfast, you proceed with game drives safari in the Serengeti exploring the rolling plains of Serengeti National Park in search of large predators and the gentle herbivorous, on which they feed. Later during the day, you will proceed to your reserved accommodation inside the national park.
Dinner and Overnight at Enkirari Wilderness Camp on Full Board Basis
DAY 8 : Fly from Seronera Airstrip– Arusha
After breakfast, you proceed with game drives en route to Seronera Airstrip for your 10am flight to Arusha
